Thinning Minnesota conifer stands

Thinnings, or intermediate treatments, can improve the health, safety, and productivity of conifer plantations and natural stands.  In our new video, Minnesota DNR forester Art Widerstrom and discusses and how to plan your thinning, where to find help, and how to get it done.

    I can’t open the video in the form that it’s in. Is there any where else I can view it? I’d really like the info. as we have 2 acres of red pine that likely need thinning. Help!

    This one was shot partly with a Panasonic DV camcorder, partly with a Flip Mino. It was edited in Adobe Premiere Elements, but we do most of our editing in iMovie (Mac). We try to keep things as simple as possible… We’re not very good at video! But our hope is that the content is useful enough that people aren’t too distracted by the “cinematography.”
